CAPON SPRINGS AND FARMS RECIPE OF THE MONTH:
Stewed Tomatoes

Type: Vegetable
When served: Saturday lunch

Ingredients:

2 T. cornstarch
2. c. canned tomatoes (1 #303 can)
2 T. chopped cleery, cooked in 1/4 c. water about 10 minutes
1 T. minced onion
1 T. butter or margarine
Salt and sugar to taste

Heat tomatoes, celery and onion in double boiler or saucepan.  Stir in butter, salt and sugar.  Mix cornstarch in small amount of water, stir into tomato mixture.  Cook until thickened, stirring occasionally.  Makes 4 servings.
