Looking for a new place to hold your company conference or church retreat? Belong to a social, community or hobby organization and trying to find a great place to gather? Thinking about doing something special for a big family event-- graduation, wedding anniversary, a big birthday celebration? Capon may be just the right fit! Seniors, bus tours and women and men’s groups especially connect with Capon’s combination of atmosphere, value and facilities.

While Spring and Fall weekdays provide the best opportunities for new groups to try Capon, give us a call to check out all the options available. Better yet, arrange a private tour of the property, including a complimentary meal so you can sample the experience. Here are the reasons why Capon stands out as a group destination of choice:

"The extremely friendly staff, outstanding service and beautiful natural environment at Capon provides a unique and effective venue for our annual senior management retreat."

- Kirby Bowers
County Administrator
Loudoun County, VA

ATMOSPHERE:
The combination of modest and comfortable facilities, 4700 acres of green-forested mountains and tended gardens provide a unique and inviting backdrop to every meeting. Whether the goal is to inspire, inform, or promote team-work among their members, groups find that morale gets a much-needed boost from the abundance of fresh mountain air, mineral spring water, and delicious country food; all readily available in an environment of caring and trust.

VALUE:
The weekday group rate of $113 per person in rooms with private baths are ALL-INCLUSIVE: three meals daily, taxes, tips, basic coffee breaks, conference room(s), A/V supplies, and use of all recreational facilities (except for golf and spa services). Rooms without private bath are also available for $88 per person. For Friday and Saturday group rates add $15 per night per person in rooms with shared bath and $16 per night per person in rooms with bath to the above weeknight rates. And now those groups that are close enough can enjoy day meetings in the Spring and Fall. Call or email us for details.

EXCLUSIVE USE:
Some weekdays in early May and late October are reserved just for exclusive use. During these times you can create your own Capon experience. Occasionally a weekend or two is also available for private functions. Even if your group may not be large enough “to have Capon all to yourself,” the first two weekends in May and June typically have space to accommodate groups of 10-35. Openings occur unexpectedly sometimes, so don’t hesitate to call and let us see what we can work out!

SUPPLIES:
Wireless DSL Internet, flip charts, easels, overhead projector, slide projector, VCR big screen projector, microphone, VCR/TV, cassette and CD player and sound system. Copier and fax machine available for use. (Fax number: (304) 874-3578).

RECREATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES:
Besides having 4700 acres to play in, the golf course and spa are especially nice features for groups to enjoy when they are not in meetings. Some groups use Capon as a base to explore and take advantage of local offerings. Click on Area Day Trips to learn more.

MEETING PLACES:
The auditorium, complete with stage, will seat up to 150 adults. There are three convenient 15-25-seat meeting rooms. Newly constructed in 2008, a larger conference room seats 30-45 people and is equipped with a small kitchen. Handicapped accessible bathrooms are also available. (Many of the guest cottages have living rooms available for informal gatherings.)
