FISHING:
Try our two half-acre fishing ponds which are stocked each year with blue-gill, bass, catfish, and trout.  Capon will supply row boats, life jackets, bamboo fishing poles, and our very own bait (extra bread from the bake shop!).  Decide whether to throw your fish back or, if it is over 8 inches, have your catch cooked for your breakfast by the Capon cooks!

TENNIS:
Try a game on the Har-Tru (clay) court or one of two hard-surface courts (completely resurfaced in 2006) that have lights fornight play. During the busy summer months, in order to reserve a court,you mustsign up on the sheet located across from the drinking fountain in the Main Building.

SWIMMING:
Enjoy a refreshing dip in our spring-fed pool, warmed by the sun or our two smaller pools for the kids. Open daylight hours all season long.

HIKING:
Explore and enjoy Capon's mountains and valleys on any of our five different trails for various ages and abilities. Inquire at the Front Desk for a map of the trails. Nature walks are offered most Saturdays. You may also enjoy a walk down the road to the Fish Pond. From early June through October, stop and visit our pigs at "Hog Heaven", just up the road past the Fish Pond. 

OTHER ACTIVITIES AVAILABLE:
Badminton, basketball, horse-shoes, croquet, indoor puzzles, cards and games, ping pong, shuffleboard and volleyball.  Our small children’s and adult libraries have books for all ages and tastes.

RELAX:
Catch up on your rest.  You'll get a break from doing the cooking and cleaning. There are no TVs or phones in the rooms to disturb you. 

Spend some time relaxing in a hammock, reading on the lawn or in the newly restored bandstand, lying on the sundeck by the pool. 

Stop to smell the flowers in the colorful flower gardens that decorate the grounds, or join in a conversation on the front porch of the Main Building.
