Everyone enjoys a behind the scenes look at their favorite place. One of the mysteriously magical places is the Capon kitchen. Here are some of their favorite food facts.
- Last year, Capon guests ate over 5000 lbs. of bacon! That is approximately 90,000 slices. If you put them end to end that would be 75,000 feet which is over 14 miles of bacon!
- The Bake Shop used approximately 6,500 lbs. of sugar last year… which is 708,500 teaspoons!
- A little more than 15,000 lbs. of flour was used to make all the breads, rolls, cookies, cakes and other baked goodies that were enjoyed in 2017.
- Enough pancake batter was mixed up to make approximately 22,000 pancakes.
- Enjoyed with those pancakes: 6,000 gallons of coffee and 50,000 ounces of half and half.
- 1,600 whole chickens were put on the BBQ poles and cooked on the Hill on Monday nights.
- Approximately 6, 000 steaks were served on the Hill on Thursday nights…
- …And over 14,000 lbs. of charcoal was used to cook those chickens and steaks!
