The 2024 Season runs May 2 through Nov 9 Fall Openings
The brick cottages on the Hill were constructed in the 1960’s. They were originally intended “to be year round homes for good friends who want to spend more time at Capon”, according to the 1960 Spring Letter from Capon Springs.
However, the plans took a different turn, and cottages became very popular as weekly and monthly rentals during the season. Today, the cottages are rented to guests either for daily or weekly use. Each of the three cottages includes two bedrooms, one living room, two baths, kitchen, screened-in porch, and laundry facilities. Cottage 1 contains an additional bedroom. These secluded cottages are perfect for small family reunions or groups that want their own space away from the main grounds. Located up the road past the tennis courts and next to the 1st green on the golf course, they represent a true West Virginia mountain escape.
Guest Review
“These are the most isolated, and good for extended family gatherings when you all want to be together. They require a nice after-meal walk up the mountain to get to them. They are all nestled into the woods, and would be perfect for a retreat for writers or anyone else looking to get peace and quiet, while still just a few minutes walk to the main Capon grounds. These are fully furnished and multi-room dwellings. Two hiking trails also starts here!” – Steve G., Washington, DC
